Based on 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?', Supplies for Success has your group working as a team AND giving back simultaneously. Teams earn points answering elementary school questions to purchase school supplies donated directly to local Mexican children who need them most.
A year's worth of school supplies for one child in Mexico costs on average $20 USD — for many working poor families, this represents a week's wages. There are children who are not attending school because their family cannot afford basic supplies. Those who do attend often don't have a pencil or paper to write with.
Your group will be responsible for assembling supply bags packed with pencils, books, rulers, erasers, and everything a Mexican child needs for a successful school year. Based on 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?', Supplies for Success combines genuine fun and genuine charitable impact in one unforgettable activity.
Teams play a series of 5th Grader-style game show challenges based on elementary school content — animal science, spelling, math, and more — earning points and money for their team.
Points earned during challenges are converted into budget to 'purchase' school supplies. Teams are responsible for assembling complete supply bags for Mexican school children.
Completed school supply bags are donated to a local Mexican school. A year's worth of supplies for one child costs approximately $20 USD — your group creates immediate, meaningful impact.
