The ThermoFisher global conference held at Paradisus Playa del Carmen from February 12 to 15, 2023, was a blast! With 800 attendees from all corners of the globe, it was a whirlwind of fun and excitement.
Over four action-packed days, the company got to experience some truly awesome events that brought them closer together as a team. And Grupo Events helped to make it all happen!
One of the coolest events of their company retreat here in Mexico was the “Who Kidnapped the Boss” mystery game. It was like something out of a detective movie!
Throughout the 4 days of the conference, the team were given fully curated clues and cold-case notes where they could dive into the mystery and try to figure out who snatched their boss. The suspects were the Global Directors of ThermoFisher, and the event was completely customized around the company! It was a blast playing detective while sipping on coffee (and margaritas!) and meeting colleagues from around the world.
But that’s not all! They also got to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on with some amazing activities. Divided into different groups, the company took on physically fun and active challenges like building boats, and tackling an epic Exile Island adventure. It was incredible to see everyone come together, work as a team, and conquer these tasks with smiles on their faces.
Plus, during their retreat in Playa del Carmen, they were also able to give back and support the local community. ThermoFisher and their team supported a ‘bike build’ where they built and donated bicycles to needy schoolchildren in the area. This was in conjunction with the KKIS charity, a non-profit that works to ‘Keep Kids in School’
And let’s not forget about the incredible venue! Paradisus Playa del Carmen provided the perfect backdrop for our adventures. With its stunning scenery and top-notch facilities, it was the ideal setting for the conference.
Overall, the Thermofisher conference was an unforgettable experience. From solving mysteries to building boats, we had a blast every step of the way. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love helping companies host the best international conferences ever!
